"As individuals change, a new climate comes to the nation's life. As leaders change, policies become inspired and the nation's life-blood flows again. As statesmen change, fear of war and chaos will lift. The most difficult will respond to the firm, united but humble voice of a reborn democracy." - Frank Buchman, initiator of Initiatives of Change (IofC)

Feedback from participants...
"I discovered that we are the tools for change - not just us, but an examined us and our bag of tools, the lived experiences of an examined life." - participant, T4C 2009 |
|
"It was truly a learning experience to be part of such a supportive community where ideas were free flowing and everyone was part of the learning process." - participant, T4C 2011 |
"I came back because I love the people here and I want to con- nect with them. It's because I build my confidence...to know my potential and to practice commitment...we are preparing as teachers for change...it is not about the culture but what is in- side the people of Indonesia and Malaysia...we read the negative reports but something different happens when we are back!" - Huda, Indonesia |
|
"I had the most wonderful time!....I was put back together...by a very caring community...This year is my third year and it is my opportunity to give back what I got - to help you. The power of the experience is the connections we make with one another." - Millicent, USA |
"My first encounter with Tools for Change (hosted by Initiative of Change) was a journey of self discovery...You don't realize the impact you have on people by organizing conferences like this...what I have managed to create...to learn...is to really listen. I am very grateful for the tools I picked up here...the stories I have heard here...It was a great opportunity to focus on the 4Cs - Concept, Context, Connection and Collaboration.........A wonderful learning community." - Malar, Malaysia |
