THE HEART OF EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIPThis workshop will be conducted in the experiential learning mode. It will cover both the “what” and “how” aspects and leadership development. It will illustrate through case studies, how the principles of Initiatives of Change are at the heart of good leadership, which the world can trust. One of the topics the programme will deal with is on ‘Tapping the Heart of Effective leadership’ – a source of creative power for bringing self-initiated change. The workshop is a shortened version of a well-recognised leadership programme offered at Asia Plateau in India, based on sharing real leadership cases and experiences. It culminates in a new model of leadership, based on love and ethical values. FACILITATORSDilip Patel is an engineer, an entrepreneur, a trainer, a learning facilitator and a counselor. Mr. Patel studied Electrical Engineering, and graduated from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat, back in 1972. He did a special Post Graduation course in ‘Aircraft Design and Avionics’ at IIT, Madras in 1974. As an Engineer, Mr. Patel lent his services to M/s Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd as a Design Engineer at their Aircraft Design Bureau, Bangalore, from 1975 to 1982. Under the ‘Life Long Learning’ commitment, he went on to the learning activities in the areas of Values, Ethics, Leadership, Communication, ‘Life Program’, ‘Art of Living’, ‘Neuro Linguistic Programming( NLP, from Richard Bandler), ‘Lay Counseling’, Thinking ( from Edward De Bono), ‘Landmark Forum’ etc under various national and international masters. Recently he added to his new learning (November 2010) on the subject of ‘Ontological model of leadership’ under the team of great masters, Erhard Verner, and Harvard Prof Jenson. His current (September 2011 onwards) area of intense learning is – ‘Zentangles’. Mr. Patel has been designing and conducting learning workshops for the corporate world, as well as social and educational sectors since 1994. Dr. Amit Mukherjee - An Orthopaedic Surgeon from Jamshedpur, India. He worked in a renowned corporate (Tatas) for 30 years. Was Superintendent of the 200 bedded Tata Tinplate Hospital, an ISO certified institution. Was Head of Administration of the Tinplate Co. for 7 years. Now, after retirement from Tatas, am working as a Dy. General Manager of another Engineering Co., which is the largest manufacturer of leaf springs in the country, with 7 plants all over India, looking after HR/ Admin./ Security/ Medical/ IR/ etc. for the Co. Met IofC as a student. After putting things right in own life, was inspired to work in the villages around Jamshedpur with some wonderful results. Guided to turn around the Hospital from the brink of closure. Was instrumental in solving major worker/tribal issues in Tata Steel. Presently he is the Course Director for the HELs in Panchgani and supporting the earlier work in Bangalore for BESCOM. Rotarian (Asst. Governor), President of Jamshedpur Adventure Club, Trustee of many Trusts Golfer/ Music lover. Have a family, with 1 daughter (Masters in Biotechnology) and a wife (Professor of Chemistry). |
